We have several tours one being to the Gemco Yard in Van Nuys to watch a train being classified that will head north that afternoon. For the non-rails we have a guided tour of the Nixon Library that will be followed by a lunch which is included in the tour price.
The Orange Blossom Special will have a different format from past conventions. For early arrivals on Wednesday, September 8 th we will have a few clinics and layouts to visit in the afternoon.
You can also put your entries into the show room for evaluation or just to show. In the evening we will hold a welcome ice cream social reception, a great chance to meet up with old friends or make some new ones.
Thursday, September 9th starts out with the PSR General Membership Meeting followed by clinics. This is also the day of the Gemco Yard tour and pre-registration is required for this tour.
In the afternoon members will be able to visit layouts or attend Ops sessions and closing out the day with more clinics and Ops that evening. For the non-rails there is also the Nixon Library tour and luncheon.
Friday, September 10 th the morning is filled with clinics and for the non-rails a Whale Watching tour.

Shooting begins daily at am. Competitors should report to the yard line by am for roll call. Rifles may be weighed at packet pick up and Sight-in.

There will be many raffle prizes — competitors must be present to win. Any ammunition that repeatedly blow primers or splits cases will be ruled defective or unsafe and will be removed from the firing line, Rule 3.
Awards : Individual — NRA Regional Medals for First, Second and Third Place by Rifle type. Cash prizes for place and category awards. Five Competitors are required for First Place, ten competitors for Second Place and fifteen competitors for Third Place.
Awards are awarded in a one and done manner; class awards primary and category awards secondary. Rifle types are combined for category awards.
Team — NRA Rules shall govern, specifically Rule 2. Five teams required to make a class. Teams with mixed rifle types should check in with the Stat Office to verify team rifle type.
Pick-up teams may be permitted up to the 18 team limit. Pit rotations will permit a firing member to go to the pits if needed.
Bolt Closing: All competitors shall close the bolt only when the rifle is parallel to the ground and pointed at the targets or the berm. Trigger finger must remain outside the trigger guard until on target.
The Line Officer will issue a warning to any competitor that is observed violating this policy.
Any competitor continuing to violate this policy will be disqualified. This is a Range Rule to prevent rounds from being launched over the berm.
Brass and Trash Call: There will be a brass and trash call after each relay change. Tent camping, not requiring electricity, is free.

Challenge Period: The challenge period for posted scores shall last for 20 minutes after all firing is complete for the day. The official scores will be posted on the white board under the Pole Barn.
